Crime & Safety

Rebecca Bauer-Kahan prioritizes criminals under the guise of “social justice.” I will prioritize our families and our safety.

California is now ranked the 5th most dangerous state in the country, according to a new Forbes ranking.

My opponent and your current State Assembly representative, Rebecca Bauer-Kahan, is one of the foremost proponents of helping put violent criminals and repeat offenders immediately back on the streets through the elimination of cash bail.

In this article Ms. Bauer-Kahan says we need to be “focused on those who are struggling from poverty and in the criminal justice system.”

I believe we need to focus on public safety and protecting our families, homes, and local businesses from those who choose to break the law.

In the article, Yolo County District Attorney Jeff Reisig said that his office’s tracking of those released without bail found that 70% committed new crimes, and nearly 30% of those re-arrests were for violent crimes. Eliminating cash bail puts all of us in danger.

The hard-working people of our district deserve to have a representative in Sacramento who cares more about the safety of our families than about preserving failed social justice programs.

The data is clear. So why is Ms. Bauer-Kahan choosing to prioritize criminals’ rights under the guise of “social justice,” instead of prioritizing the safety of our families, and protecting our homes and local businesses against theft and vandalism? What happened to downtown San Francisco and Oakland will happen to every district if we don’t stop the lawmakers pushing these agendas.

Every day more Californians are waking up and realizing that the Democrat party’s 80% “mega-majority” in both the State Assembly and the State Senate is running our beautiful state off a cliff. We need moderates to stop their destructive agenda.

I believe Democrats, Independents, and Republicans in our district are united on this issue. So let’s work together to restore balance and restore California.
